Dear Parent/Guardian, We are grateful for your attendance at our Subject Options event for incoming first year students. If you were unable to attend, you will be able to access the presentation slides by clicking HERE. The purpose of this letter is to provide you with easy access to all the necessary information which has been shared with you over the past months, under the headings below.
1. IPAD Purchase – Wriggle Lusk Community College use the Apple Ipad device as a learning tool. Ipads should be purchased through our technology partner Wriggle. All Ipads in Lusk Community College are managed and configured by Wriggle. Wriggle install a management system on all devices used in the school which controls access and download of specific educational apps. All devices in Lusk Community College must have the management system in place installed by Wriggle.
The Wriggle store will open for orders between the following dates: 5th April – 7th June.The Wriggle Store Login page can be found by following this link: https://www.wriggle.ie/OnlineStoreLogin. Parent/Guardians must use the following LCC code to access the store: 53847130
Ipads orders made after the 7th June will incur a surcharge and are unlikely to be ready for the start of the new school year. Ipads will be delivered directly to parent/guardians’ home address from Wriggle. All Ipad related queries should be directed to Wriggle. Books and eBook’s should not be purchased through Wriggle.
2. LCC Online Payment System – MIT Lusk Community School does not accept cash payments via the school office. Payments to the school are made through the school online payment system - MIT. The following payments have been set up for incoming first year students 2022: LCC E-Book Loan Scheme Student Support Services An outline these above costs is included in the Information Evening Slides on the school website. Parent/Guardians must create an online payment account in order to make the above payments. Instructions for setting up an online payment account are enclosed, or can be accessed on the LCC website by clicking HERE.
3. VSware – Information Management System Lusk Community College uses VSware Information Management System. This system allows the school to manage timetable, student attendance, school term reports, behaviour reports, student options, etc. Parent/Guardians have access to VSware through a Parents App on IOS or Android device. All parents should download the VSware App. The school has provided a Username to parents which when entered into the App will allow parents to Log In to the VSware App. Incoming First year students will pick their optional subjects and languages using the VSware App. Instruction on downloading, logging in and choosing subject options on VSware can be found HERE.
4. LCC School Uniform - Grants Lusk Community College school uniform supplier is Grants Clothing, www.grantsclothing.ie Grants Clothing location and contact information is enclosed and can also be found at the website listed above.
